Sparks, Nevada, September 24, 2025 — The Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest, in partnership with the Society of American Foresters, local communities, and sponsors, has announced that the 2025 U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree will be transported from Nevada to the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C., this holiday season.
The tree, named “Silver Belle,” is a 53-foot red fir harvested from the Carson Ranger District. Throughout its journey, the tree will stop at several cities along the way to host special events where the public can visit, take photos, sign a banner, purchase official U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree merchandise, and learn about Nevada’s national forest.
The theme of this year’s tour is “Spirit of the Silver State,” highlighting the beauty and spirit of Nevada.
